Tues. we went along with The McGlinchey crew to Reeds Gold mine- we toured the "museum" type place and even walked through the mine- it was so hot outside, but surprisingly cool inside the mine!! We learned a lot about how the mine came to be and just how hard the people worked for very little money HA kinda like a stay at home mommy does ! LOL -Just kidding all you hard workin Daddies!! We all brought a yummy picnic lunch and even got to pan for GOLD!!! The McGlinchey's found a little gold dust - better than the Walser gang! LOL we found NOTHING!- The kids had sooo much fun AND I even got ( actually she did this on her own!) Julie to hold a millipede -I was soo proud! :) !! The kids were exhausted and slept the whole way home (YES- I got to listen to my OWN music not Baby Einstein OR The Backyardigans for the 100th time :) !) so thank you McGlinchey's for letting us tag along we had a GREAT day!!

Such a fun day...we have to do more of them. I'll buy next time since I am so rich from my gold dust! LOL
If you really want, I'll talk to Jeremy and we'll see about you and Julie going out to do some mining....
I think that the tunnels were 5 foot tall and 2 foot wide - right???
