I took the kids to Wild Dunes this last week and everybody had a BLAST!! The only time the boys took a nap was when we rode bikes all over the Island and while on our ride we saw some alligators!!!! They were far enough away sunbathing on the golf course, but who in there right mind would CHOOSE to play golf were they have warnings all over about alligators??? I guess when it comes to men and golf nothing comes in the way, HUH??!! We took a pic of one concealed in the water ( 2nd pic) but u can't really even see him- just his snout and eye is pokin out..... :) Anyway every morning we woke up - or really Jaxs woke us up saying " Is it morning time mommy, yes! yes! it is mommy the sun is up!!" Even though it was 7 am most mornings it was great to get some breakfast, slather everyone up ( I think we used 2 containers of sunscreen in 6 days!) and pack a picnic lunch for the beach..... The kids were a little hesitant at first, mostly Cash he wasn't sure about the stuff under his toes and kept sitting down to wipe his feet off! LOL Once everyone got used to it I couldn't hold them back- every five seconds I felt like I was yelling for Kayla to come back a little closer or Jaxson to stay with in arms reach of me and Cash - I know I have been a mom for 8 almost 9 years, but it really made me feel like one this week - my herd of little ones and me trying to keep them safe! Emma of course after she got over the salt water hurting her boo-boos found these little pools of water and played all day in them- It was truly a wonderful trip, one I will remember and cherish for ever...... the walks on the beach with each one before the sun went down ( Grammie stayed with the others- don't worry!) and just seeing how every little thing as a kid I may of did, but don't remember seeing my children having the time of their lives, discovering shells, building sandcastles, and jumping over waves- truly priceless! Even though I am sooo very exhausted and school has started back I am soooo happy we went and I can't wait to go back next year!! :)
