Garden UPdate

e

Our spring garden is in FULL bloom!! Was able to dry some herbs lately- lavender, dill, and cilantro- basil will be next thanks to a WoNdErFuL friend who Im sure every year about this time think, "Boy, does Kate need to BUY her own dehydrator" :p lol.

Our beans are almost ready to be picked- still flowering, but usually come soon after that, raspberries the same- I cant WAIT this will be our biggest yet and blueberries- well those take a few years to really get a crop, but we will have enough for about 3 good blueberry pancake breakfasts' ( remember we have 7 mouths to fill- and each kiddo eats atleast 3 or 4 pancakes! ) summer squash will be here mid May, carrots - got a few yesterday loads more to come! Our lettuce has been the best benefit to our garden - this year no slugs ( well I found ONE but hey better than 10!) and have already had many a salads from our "harvest"- making a yummo Cobb salad tonight for dinner- well we do choose ur own topping salad night - kids LOVE it! Will plant some tomatoes and okra seeds hopefully this weekend - now who to bribe to water this garden in the month of June???? *wink* any takers?? let you pick whats ripe ( till a week or two before I come back! lol)
Have garden ? lets see pics!!

Had to include my helper this week- he did so good churning the soil to let it breath:D (translation- he dug...and dug.. and DUG till he reached for the lettuce!! )
