I usually am not one to blog my feelings or too many deep thoughts ( lol that makes me sound REAL smart huh?? ) mostly I like posting pics, but have to tell this story.......
Our Sunday School class sponsored a family this year- well actually quite a few of us knew of families that needed our help so we all pinched in however we could...... I was totally excited - as a family we try and do something each year to help out and this year this particular family touched me...... A family of 6 ( 4 kids) who's dad can not find work- the mom works as much as she can but they still struggle to pay the bills and this Christmas could not afford utilities much less presents for the children. We got everything ready and this morning Jeremy dropped of the gifts- he called me soon afterward to tell me her reaction( you know I want to know it ALL!!) .... shocked was to say the least, was her reaction ! He opened up the front of his truck where a few of the gifts were and Jeremy said she was thanking him and could not believe it that our class would think to give her family all of this.... then he opened the back of the truck and her eyes pretty much said it all- tearing up she said thank u again and just couldn't believe what she saw ( to think she was so happy with the few gifts up front! :) ) Hearing Jeremy tell me all this I was sooo soo happy not because I or my family had done much or to brag about on the blog, but because I totally know that feeling I believe she had when she saw it ALL...... My first Christmas with Kayla I had a small apartment and Christmas Eve really was no different than any other day that year because I just didn't have anything - nor did Kayla realize we had very few things..... The next morning I looked out my door and saw that someone had left ALL these gifts all nicely wrapped with pretty bows and stockings for me and Kayla FILLED with goodies...... It was a Christmas I truly will never forget:) I did find out later the people that had blessed us that year-- I too, found out the the husband of one of the ladies had sat out in his car all night to watch over our gifts- because of the place I lived, not the safest- he wanted to make sure all was there come Christmas morning... I wonder too if he saw my face that morning and how in disbelief I was that someone would care so much and to not even know me would show me such love... much like I imagine what Jeremy saw in this woman's face today...... Christmas is such a special time of year not only do we celebrate Jesus' birth but the love we all have for one another and Christs love for us through others.... love you all and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! sorry so long but had to share!lol
